Hooliganism is a
phenomenon that proliferates day by day in our stadiums during football
matches, our fields have become real battlefields, either between the
supporters of both teams or against the forces of order. The results are minor
and young cadavers and victims.
So what are the
causes of this scourge and how to fight against it?
The resurgence of
the Ultra movement especially from 2012 attracted thousands of adolescents
fascinated by this universe very far from their daily lives, the causes of this
attraction lies in poverty, idleness, lack of perspective brought by education,
The boredom. To this is added the atmosphere of the stadium, the songs, the
tifos, constituted a moment of comfort which makes them today mad, attached and
ready to all do to stay anchored in this world which becomes more and more
their Unique universe. For this generation of 10-18 year olds, everything is an
enemy: society, adults, the police who persecute, the supporters of the team
opposite, those of their own camp, who do not sing, criticize, Dispute
"supremacy" of encouragement. And in this context, which can also
include drugs and bladed weapons, violence becomes a legitimate act for them.
Of course, the
fight against this scourge requires the intervention of all parties, be they
political or civil, as examples, we cite the obligation to strengthen laws
against this kind of violence and applying the prohibition of access to minors
Unaccompanied: access only upon presentation of the identity card. This is
complemented by an obligation to encourage clubs to strengthen coaching and
more dialogue, particularly with the Ultras. Finally equip the grounds and the
stages of surveillance cameras, in the same model as those of Marrakech, Agadir
and Tangier.
Sooner or later, if
violence continues, the fight against this scourge will have serious
consequences. The challenge is not to dismiss the current generation of
football stadiums, but to raise awareness of the problem.
